SparkPeople, All what you need for healthier life August 14, 2008

- I always keep browsing the internet, searching for sites that can grab my interest, some of the sites are really useless and not helpful in any way (not even when you are bored and need something to cheer you up), and some sites you look at it and think “That is a nice site to browse for the day”… The site I’m discussing today is neither the two examples I gave… This site is just the kind that you begin browsing it and the next thing you do is open your eyes wide ( Hint : O_O ) and stare at it knowing that for the next weeks, months or even years you will be totally addicted to it.

- You may ask by now “So what are you specifically talking about?”, I will just tell you that I’m talking about a site that I find from Day 1 was able to change many of my habits (especially my bad eating program), this site is SparkPeople (or as for me, I get directed to SparkTeens, but the differences are unnoticeable).

- This site can offer many great pages of different kind which can lead to various advantages, Help you know how to live in a better way (Including organizing your eating habits), Gets you more informed and corrects any wrong predictions, and of course… What most people use the internet for, consumes your time (but at least, you won’t waste it this time). You can browse through Motivation quotes, Quizzes that help you correct false ideas, and many ways of going after your goals, eating for a better health, and countless of important stuff.

- As an unregistered browser, you can read articles, Browse pages discussing Healthy Lifestyle, read quotes by the greatest for Motivation, Character, Life and 25 more categories. You can do quizzes in various kinds of areas, and other many great features that I really can’t sum up into one blog.

-  As a registered user (which is totally free and very quick), the fun begins when you find out about the “Sparkpoints”, Sparkpoints are like the system the motivates the users to go and say “I’m going to be a better person to myself to get more points”, personally I can’t stop doing stuff that will allow me to gain more points. You maybe still staring and totally confused, well to get Sparkpoints, you have to do healthy activites with your life or allow SparkPeople to force you to recheck what you did everyday and give you points after it shows you what you did was either good for you or a step away from good health (Track Food Eaten for example). Personally, in my first day of being a registered user, I stopped that habit of drinking a liter of 7-up a day and actually drank 6 ( should’ve been 8 ) cups of water and only 2 cups of soda (HEY, It’s an improvement).

Last but not least, for any Facebookaholic, There is a great facebook application that grabs to your profile page a Motivational Quote every day from all categories (check the links at the bottom). And I’m just left to say SparkPeople is a very nice long-lasting experience that you should try, and stay tuned for more information about my progress in it, and Don’t forget to refer to Unknown2dark when you register ( Just kidding, but still refering to me won’t bite :P ).

That is a very interesting site. Right off the bat, I found a good article on beginners tennis, which is the stage I am in right now. Thanks for the review. :)
